  1. I had one of these yesterday and i’m only 21. I lost peripheral vision,
tried calling my GF then couldn’t speak properly. Then my right hand went
    numb.

  2. I had a TAI last weekend. I was transported to a county hospital and
basically interviewed and watched for over 18 hrs. Only a catscan and a
sodium drip IV was administered. No intervention took place o just
diagnostics. Yet today I still have left side weakness and slurred speech.
Was I screwed by the hospital?

  3. I had read that GMO’s (genetically modified foods) can moreso predispose
you to strokes. Many advanced countries have banned GMO’s, but not in the
    USA (yet). Food for thought.

  4. What if I have similar symptoms for almost a week now. Thought it was due
to lack of sleep and stress or depression, but getting the slight
headaches, pressure in the head similar to a coffee headache, confusion,
not being able to focus on tasks or simple tasks or even
conversations…creativity is shot, and sometimes get a slight dizzy
feeling, and find myself spacing out more than usual.

  5. My dad has noticeably been looking different. He is spaced out and his
facial expression are weird and he is moving his lip different sometimes
but he is hiding it. He sometimes slurred his speech and sometimes looks a
bit confused. He is always moving his arm and hiding it with a blanket. He
got shocked a long time ago thats why i think his arm feels weird to him
but Something seems off to me. He yells more than he ever did and can not
sit to listen to much for a long period of time. Hes got a short fuse
nowadays. I can tell there is something wrong and he never wants to go to
the doctor and has not had a check up for over 9 months, he is 60 years old
and he works a very hard job still in which he always on his feet moving
around. I dont know if it is just old age but I am worried and I dont know
what to do to help him out.

  6. Just experienced one, I don’t mind dying like this. No pain. Just fall
asleep and never wake up again. 21yrs but I happened to just wake up
    feeling normal again.

  7. I think I had one yesterday I couldn’t feel my right arm or my right side
of my face I also had a really sour head and couldn’t see very well. I was
so scared I am only 17

  8. My mom had one on Thursday she said her jaw felt as if it locked and that
her tongue felt paralyzed couldnt swallow and she was spitting saliva
wanting to gasp for air. She felt numbness as well and that her left side
of her face was numb. I seriously don’t know what’s happening. This has
been going on recently especially headaches and she feels as if she has
ants inside her head. My mom has always been a healthy person, never sick
at all. Someone please help me what is this? We sent her to the hospital
and they said it was TIA but no MRI was done. They did an ekg, blood tests,
urine tests and nothing was found. A cat scan also for the head showed
nothing. Does my mom have a tumor? Today she said she was starting to feel
her throat closing again but it went away but no headache or tingling
    sensation

    1. Doesn’t sound like TIA to me…& I could be entirely wrong, I’m taking care
of someone who’s had at least a half dozen…they absolutely do not always
present the same..they can be extremely different if not almost un
noticeable.Find an EXCELLENT cardiologist & the same with a
neurologist..symptom checking on the internet is 100% waste of time as well
ER physicians is the wrong way to go.

    2. Wow everyone thank you so much for replying. After her incident, she went
through rounds of various testing, spinal tap, blood work, MRI’s, CatScans,
EKG, Heart tests, etc. Everything showed up normal. This was in the
hospital, but afterward, the cardiologist, and neurologist were examining
her and found nothing. Even did a heart monitor at home and nothing
appeared abnormal. We did take her to south america for a second opinion
and again, found nothing but one Dr thinks it may be Multiple Sclerosis.
But my mom has been doing just fine after the incident. She has symptoms
here and there, but the numbness and throat closing sensations will flare
up maybe once or twice every 2 or 3 weeks but she says it is less dramatic
than when it hit her on February 25. My only guess at this point is that it
may be Menopause or Perimenopause. I read forums that women were having
exact same symptoms, dry mouth, headaches, night sweats. But that breathing
problem has never hit her again up to this point which i’m thankful. Do you
think it may be menopause starting on her? She is 50 now

    3. +Raphael Ferrero I’m glad to know she’s doing better. Beyond that I can’t
say much about those symptoms. There is an app on the App Store called
“First Opinion” where you can speak with a doctor about her symptoms but
don’t take their word 100% because in order to know for sure you need to
consult with a doctor in person.

    1. Yep. I had one last night. Just numbness on l h s of my face. went to
emerg, waited over an hour.. left and came home. I live in Canada.. wait
      times are insane

  9. I’m trying to determine if this happened to me. It happened at night so I’m
not sure if it was this or sleep paralysis. Though sleep paralysis felt
    different in the past.

I’m 30 so maybe not? Personal care doctor always tells me I’m too young to
be having these kind of problems so I don’t know…
