    1. david carney ohhh really????… I sometimes feel dumbness on my right arm
when I’m in bed… I’m not fat at all on the contrary, I’m in good shape,
      workout a lot and I’m vegan… so I don’t understand why…

    2. I take it you mistyped “dumbness,” meaning numbness. What you describe
almost certainly has nothing to do with strokes, but rather results from
sleeping with your head partly on your right arm, partially cutting off
blood flow to the arm. On the other, being in really good shape, while
helpful, does not guarantee you won’t get a stroke, especially the
hemorrhagic kind. A better term for that type would be an aneurysm, which
is at least sometimes genetic: an area of thin or weak wall in an artery
that swells over time from the constant pressure of the blood flowing
through it (higher at the high point of a pulse than in a vein, which has a
smoother flow returning blood to the heart). As the artery swells the
tissue stretches, becoming thinner, hence even weaker than, say, at birth.
Eventually the weak spot may begin to leak or may even burst suddenly. I
know something about this as aneurysms run in my mother’s family, who have
had many; some have died. I have to get checked every 4-5 years in the head
(MRI) and abdomen (sonogram). So far no genetic analysis that I know of can
tell you whether you might get one. You can only hazard a guess by looking
into your family history. But no certain negative indication is possible:
you won’t know whether you can get one until you already have one.

  1. I had absolute no symptoms one month prior to my stroke, I’m a retired PT
with 40 years in the field working with CVA’s…. you don’t know what you
    are promoting.

    1. I can’t say it will be a month prior to, what I can say is when I had a
stroke I had all the symptoms listed at the time it happened to me. I find
it odd the symptoms listed in the video occur one month prior to a stroke
when all the symptoms I know, as well as what they list happen at the onset
      of a stroke.
It’s said the word word “SAFE” which means; S-smile/speech, A-arm(s),
F-face, E-emergency (911) should be used in the order the word is spelled
to safely say one is having a stroke.
I went through the word when I had mine. Surprisingly, I remembered it and
      was able to call 911.

    1. There is a difference between “warning signs one month in advance” and
symptoms of a stroke while it is happening. With a stroke you don’t get
warning signs a month in advance. You get a stroke and you have very little
time to get help if you want to live

  2. This video should be flagged as it’s misleading. Stroke is a serious
condition and not one to be toyed with in this fashion. Shame on you!

    1. Paul Hall yes he did I leave my sweater there this morning yeah on the back
of your chair I was sitting in your truck you did my nails this morning no
I only sat there yeah OK I I’ll keep looking thank you by the other has now
been identified and he has died

    1. +Gugología 101 con Rosana You have your own brains to think and not wholly
      rely on the video clip
Anyway KEEP BARKING for all I
      care.😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😃😂😂😂😂😂😂

  3. One of the things I like about videos like this, is it gets me to research
    more information.
That’s a good thing. The bad thing is your video is crap.

The 1 month time frame is bogus. Symptoms can happen at any time.

There is a symptom called TIA – trans ischemic attack or mini-stroke that
can happen prior to a major stroke.

    Here’s the link for information:
    http://www.healthline.com/health/stroke/signs-symptoms-tia-mini-stroke#Whatisaministroke?1

This mini-stroke lasts only a few minutes, doesn’t cause brain damage and
is resolved within 24 hours. HOWEVER, if you experience one of these
symptoms IMMEDIATELY go to the hospital ER. Symptoms usually affect motor
    control, speech, disorientation, etc.

Symptoms of a stroke requires IMMEDIATE medical care. If you remember the
acronym BE FAST – you can identify a stroke.
    B = Balance
    E = Eyes
    F = Face drooping
A = Arm weakness (not being able to raise both arms)
    S = Speech – slurred
    T = Time for 911

    Here’s the link:

    1. before having stroke my mother fell dizziness she almost slept for a week
only waking up for hours only.. we take her to doctor and after conducting
many test doctors said she is completely fine ..
its been 2 years now she is unable to speak.
so my point is that the symptoms in the video is common and thats true

  4. My dad died of a massive stroke at age 79, just as he was entering his car
to go to the store. He fell into the street. (thank God he was not yet
driving when it occurred!) and two kind teenaged boys riding by on bicycles
dialed 911 when they saw him.
Daddy was taken by ambulance to the hospital and I got there two days later
from Florida; our mother was an invalid, so my poor Sis was there all alone
till I was able to arrive. After tests the Dr told us there was no brain
stem activity and that he essentially had died; hopefully when he was first
struck down so that he did not suffer.
They took him to a regular room where my sister and I had to make the
difficult decision to end all life support – though he WAS kept on fluids
    and pain medication.
My sister and I stayed with him around the clock for two days, until on
that third fateful morning when we awoke and realized that he had ceased
    breathing sometime during the night.
I actually DO believe it was a blessing, the way he went so suddenly,
though still a devastating experience for us girls.
We love and miss you Daddy, and always will! 💗💗💗
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR ENLIGHTENING POST!

    1. Amy Harvey thank you for your post. I am so sorry for your loss. I think it
was a blessing how your father passed. My father died after having
Alzheimer’s for over 2 years and it was devastating, something I will never
get over. May you be at peace and God bless you and your family.

    1. s Ifrah I hope that your mom pulls through this ok. My mom had a stroke
about 6 months ago, and several mini strokes. My family is just living day
by day, because we know that she won’t be with us much longer. Just spend
as much time with her as you can. My time with my mom means a lot to her
      and me as well.

    2. cervezadog awwww I hope she get well yeah its very hard I’m in Canada she’s
very far I’m the last daughter I’ve seen her 5 times in 22 years but I do
think to myself all the time that she’s still breathing I have to talk so I
make sure I hear her voice every week 😟😦😡😢😯 but I miss her and afraid
of phone call from them that one day I will hear a bad news

    3. s Ifrah yeah me too. I know that sooner or later I’ll be getting a phone
call from my dad or my sister. I just hate seeing her in the condition that
she’s in. She’s been bed ridden for the past 6 months. I just want to see
her not hurting anymore.I hope that you can go to see your mom in person
again real soon. I’m praying for your family. Thanks for listening. It
      means a lot.

    4. cervezadog oh so we both are in the same boat my mom had a stroke last year
just in bed sense then all we can do is to pray and help when needed ..
